AMA Youth Sports Summer Swim Program
Online survey - no paper Thank you for considering enrolling your children in this summer's recreational and competitive swim programs at Bret Harte Aquatic Center sponsored by AMA Youth Sports!
We are conducting this survey to gauge the community's interest in participating as swimmers, coaches, helpers, and lifeguards. Please complete all sections. Fees to participate in the recreation league have not been determined yet - the aim is for less than $80/swimmer which will cover all costs except the suit and swim cap. The fee will be low if volunteers commit to help and they receive the required training.
Fees will be higher if we employ the Aquatic Center's lifeguards. The 2012 summer recreation league begins June 11th with 5-days a week practice and swim meets with Calaveras Pride, Ione Marlins and possibly more teams, both at home and away. The season ends July 27th with a championship swim meet followed by a picnic and awards ceremony.
2012 competitive USA Swimming starts in April, swimming 3-days a week. Competitive swimmers will then join with the recreation league plus have the choice of competing at up to four away meets in the valley, Lake Tahoe and/or Sonora. Swimmers will also have the choice of continuing to swim competitively after summer season. Program questions? Contact Mary at 795-7818, or Jessica at 728-8219. Thank you!
