FOOTBALL PROGRAM

SEASON COMMITMENT:
- Before Season
- Applications must be completed and turned in.
- Player physicals must be completed and turned in.
- Player copies of registered birth certificates must be turned in.
- Financial responsibility must be established.
- Practices
- 1st week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 3 day clinic hosted by Bret Harte Football Coaches - 5:00pm to 7:00pm - Bret Harte High School Football Field.
- Cost of this program is separate from AMA Program and is $25.00.
- This 3 day clinic will count toward “conditioning” hours.
- *must have 10 hours of conditioning prior to full pads.
- 1st week, Thursday, Friday – AMA Practice - 5:00pm to 7:00pm - Copello Park.
- 2nd week, Monday thru Friday – AMA Practice - 5:00pm to 7:00pm - Copello Park.
- 3rd week, Monday thru Thursday – AMA Practice - 5:00pm to 7:00pm - Copello Park
- 4th week thru the end of the season, Tuesday thru Thursday – AMA Practice - 5:00pm to 7:00pm - Copello Park
- Games
- Games begin during the 4th week of the season usually on Saturdays, with one game on Sundays.
- Game times and locations TBD.
- Players will need to be to game location 1½ hours prior to game time for weigh-ins.
- Home games - parents are expected work an hour shift at gate, booth, snack shack, chain gang or clean up at each home game.
- Other Information
- Team Photos will be taken usually during the 4th week of practice. Cost is separate. Full uniform required.
- End of Season Banquet TBD. Trophies and photos handed out. Usually potluck.
- The league we participate in is the Mother Lode Youth Athletic Conference. (MLYAC)

- Wednesday June 30, 2010 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm - Copello Park.
- Saturday, July 17, 2010 - 9:00am to 11:00am - Copello Park.
- Or mail in application with check to above address prior deadline.
- Football application deadline is July 31, 2010. Late applications will not be accepted.
COST OF PROGRAM:

- $ 25.00 Volunteer Fee (Mandatory 5 hours of volunteering)
- $ 25.00 Sponsor
- $ 150.00 Total
MANDATORY DEPOSIT OF $50.00 IS DUE AT SIGN UPS

Registration Fee: This fee covers the cost of insurance and gear. Football gear consists of bag, helmet, game and practice jerseys, game and practice pants, all pads, mouth pieces, socks, belt, t-shirt and misc. gear.

Volunteer Fee: As most of you know, AMA Football is 100% run by volunteers. Unfortunately, much of the responsibility of running this program and teaching our kids falls on a small group of people. While we all enjoy our contribution to our community, we are limited in the amount of time we can spend on creating the best football experience for our children. As a Club, we are always looking for ways to improve and enrich your family’s experience, but we cannot do that without the help of our volunteers. Therefore, it will be MANDATORY to volunteer at least 5 HOURS of your time throughout the season. AMA will keep track of your hours on a sign in sheet and refund your $25.00 at the end of the season when your hours are tallied. Should you have more than one child involved in this program, only one volunteer fee is applicable.

Sponsor Fee: AMA especially depends on our football program sponsorships to help offset the ever-increasing costs of football gear and equipment, insurance, referee fees, etc. If we could get one $25.00 sponsor in addition to each player registration fee, our program would be able to secure a better financial position for a successful season.
